September is host to two powerful celestial events: the Full Moon in Pisces on September 20 and the Fall Equinox on September 22. We’re going to celebrate both in our Sacred Circle with a live kundalini meditation practice on Monday, September 20, and you are invited!
This September full moon ushers us into the energy of Fall in the Northern hemisphere. It’s here at the Autumn Equinox that we mark the change of the seasons. The earth is always working toward balance – the Spring and Autumn equinoxes are the two turning points in the year where light and darkness are perfectly balanced. Spring moves toward new growth and the Autumnal storms clear away for future growth.
We don’t have to be conscious of the seasonal changes to be affected by them.
But what if we could prepare for the energetic waves of these seasonal changes and create our own sacred experiences?
Let’s look to the traditions of the Ancient Wheel of the Year holidays for insight on how we as women in the modern world can embrace our cyclical power consciously.
Mabon is the Wheel of the year holiday that aligns with the Autumnal Equinox. Traditional celebrations include:
- A Second Harvest feast
- Giving thanks
- Taking stock of the year’s crops in preparation winter
- Rest after the bustling outward energy of summer
- Rituals to restore balance and harmony
But how do we find balance?
It starts with reflection.
Take a moment right now to ask: What in your life needs clearing away for new growth to take root?
We’ll be meditating on this question further when we gather together on the Full Equinox Moon on September 20th.
Personally, I naturally get an upswell of energy at this time of year. So I’ve been riding the back-to-school virgo vibes to help me organize, and reflect in order to clear out both my psychic storage closet as well as my actual closets.
I trust what I make room for NOW will make new growth possible – otherwise stagnation ensues.
We have the opportunity to invite the powerful energies of this Fall Equinox moon to clear out and find a new balance.
You don’t need to be on a yoga mat to join but you can be if you want! However you show up, just make sure you’re comfortable.
Will you join me to celebrate Mabon under the Fall Equinox Moon?
